MARCH
Mar 1: FSA WRITING DURING THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY (PERIODS 1-3).
Periods 4 and 6 will be continuing work on their houses for the heat transfer lab.
Mar 2: Students will begin placing the finishing touches on their homes and prepare/ take temperature measurements for heat loss at
specified locations around the house.
Mar 3: Students will begin recording the different temperatures on their recording sheet to keep track of where the heat loss is
occurring. They will then revisit their hypothesis from the beginning of the project to work out what direction the company
needs to move in to help focus the heat back into the home.
Mar 6: After completing discussions about how to apply the material, students will begin to "fix" the heat loss issue and begin phase
two of testing with the materials "blocking" the escape routes for the heat.
Mar 7: Students will finish collecting the data for heat loss from their home and begin to analyze the results. After analyzing the
results, students will write a rough draft of their conclusion and their abstract to help guide the process in thier final proposal
for the investor.
Mar 8: Students will begin writing their final proposal for the investor. The final proposal will have the following parts: Abstract, initial
proposal before testing phase, their results from the testing phase and the conclusion they came to based on the results from
the testing phase. Only the final results and final written proposal to be worked on today.
Mar 9: Students will begin the process of writing their conclusion and their abstract for the final proposal.
Mar 10: Students will have combined all the different parts into one, cohesive proposal that will be turned in to the
Investor before the close of business today.
